On May 25th, the Blue Family Fund hosted their first annual Fallen Officers Blood Drive and Fundraiser in Burleson, Texas.
The event included Carter Blood Care facilitating the blood drive in the Blood Drive Bus, with other local businesses supporting the fundraiser on the lot. The Blue Family Fund decided to create this blood drive event to help support injured officers, either through blood donations or monetary donations. The Blue Family Fund has a passion for bettering the lives of officers and their families.
The blood drive was a success due to the enormous support of local officers and their families from all over the metroplex coming to donate blood. Also, the Blue Family Fund would like to thank the owners of Kimberling Furniture store of Burleson, Texas for offering their parking lot to be used for the event.
Several local businesses, such as Texas Snow Snow Cones, Cindy Cakes, Tacos Mundial, Knight Realty Group, Mansfield Chiropractic, and many others donated their services or a portion of their sales to the Blue Family Fund during this fundraiser. Their generosity cannot be thanked enough by the families that benefited from this fundraiser.
